Rome By Night Walking Tour - Colosseum, Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona

Discover the magic of Rome at night. This walking tour takes you through the best places to visit in Rome as the sun sets over the city. Stroll past all of the must-see destinations, starting with the magnificent Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Capitoline Hill. Your passeggiata (leisurely Italian walk) continues as you encounter Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona - the most famous monuments in Rome, now beautifully illuminated by night. This enchanting sightseeing tour is essential when visiting Rome.

  1. We begin this magical walking tour of Rome at sunset. First passed the majestic Colosseum and then around the Ancient Roman Forum – a valley which rests between the Palatine Hill and Capitoline Hill. The Forum signified the political, religious and commercial center of the city and it is here, lying between glorious temples and arches that Julius Caesar’s body lays in an altar which can still be visited today.
  2. We leave the ancient world from Capitoline Hill and continue on to Piazza Venezia, where you will admire the Altare della Patria – one of the most amazing monuments and sights to visit in Rome.
  3. This passeggiata (leisurely Italian walk) allows you to witness the most famous monuments in Rome, now illuminated at night. Your Rome by night walking tour would not be complete without a visit to the next stop - the Trevi Fountain. The largest and most famous fountain in Rome, the grandiose Trevi Fountain has been the subject of many stories and movies over the years. And recently restored, it is brighter and more beautiful than ever before.
  4. Our night walking tour continues through the characteristically narrow Roman streets to the square of Santa Maria della Rotonda, home of the Pantheon – whose famous perforated dome still remains the largest and most significant one ever built.
  5. This memorable night tour in Rome concludes with a visit to Piazza Navona- a square made famous by its three fountains by Bernini and extremely interesting anecdotes, which our guides will enthusiastically share with you. This enchanting sightseeing tour allows you to explore the best places to visit in Rome while witnessing the magic of the Eternal City by night.

Favorite tour!
Our three hour night tour of Rome was fantastic and our guide, Clara, was the reason for it! She was energetic, fun, and so knowledgable about the history of what we were seeing. We learned so much, she really brought the history to life, and entertained us at the same time! So glad we did this tour!

A knowledgeable friendly guide!
A great walk through Rome with a couple of short stops for a bit of free time. Opportunity to visit inside the Panthenon plus another beautiful church. The fountains were lovely to see. The outdoor archaeological feast was all well explained. Felix was a great guide and it was great to only have one other very pleasant couple with us so there was no hanging around. A good way to start our trip to Rome.
