Vatican City Walking Tour By Night

The most beloved place to visit in Rome, this unique Vatican tour includes the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. All must-see destinations when visiting Vatican City - now beautifully illuminated by night and without the crowds.

  1. This unique Vatican City walking tour by night begins with a visit to the Vatican Museums - one of the main destinations and top things to do in Rome. And you can skip the line, allowing you more time to discover great works of art by Michelangelo and other famous artists.
  2. Explore works of art in the Pio-Clementino Museum and travel through the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps. At 75 meters long the Gallery of Tapestries is named after the elaborate Flemish tapestries that drape its walls. The Gallery of the Maps, painted between 1580 and 1585. takes its name from the 40 maps frescoed on the walls, representing each of the Italian regions and papal properties at the time of Pope Gregory XIII.
  3. Our sightseeing Vatican visit continues to one of the most revered places to see in Rome - and the world - the Sistine Chapel. An absolute must-see in Rome, our guide walks you through amazing works of art including Michelangelo's The Last Judgement - the largest fresco ever painted by one man. A must see
Our first visit to Rome would not have been complete without a tour of the Vatican. This trip was booked as an optional extra with the package deal, so Enjoy Rome tour was selected by package company. 3 hour walking tour including the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter 's Basilica. Fantastic tour. Priscilla our guide was informative and friendly. Headsets were given to everyone so we could all hear her comments, even if some of us had wandered off for a closer inspection of something that had caught our eye. Lucky to have a surprise welcome and short prayer by priest in Sistine Chapel. Art work amazing. St Peter 's architecture stunning. Note - tour ends at basilica. You can stay and explore the church and the gift shop but there are NO toilets until you have passed out of security into St Peter 's square. Something to consider after a 3 hour walk. Should have used the facilities prior to chapel but did not want to waste any of the 15 mins we were given and wrongly assumed there would be facilities at the tour end. A guide helps you learn so much more about the Vatican, so recommend you book a tour.
