Caravaggio and Wine Tasting Walking Tour

The three pillars of Italian civilization food, art and wine converge on Enjoy Rome's newest walking tour. Join us for a gastro-cultural stroll through the elegant neighborhoods around the Spanish Steps, with tastings of top-quality wine, cheese, meats and sweets from local purveyors.
Along the way, we will also visit some of the churches and squares where such masters as Caravaggio and Bernini left their masterpieces (and disturbed the peace).
The tour starts in Piazza del Popolo with a visit to the Church St. Maria del Popolo with two paintings by Caravaggio. On our way from Pizza del Popolo to the Spanish Steps we walk through some of the most elegant streets including the charming via Margutta with it's art galleries as well as the exclusive via Condotti. From the Spanish Steps we cross the via del Corso through Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina on our way to the Church St. Agostino. There we will admire another painting by Caravaggio as well as another by Raphael. After our stroll of two hours we finish at a characteristic wine bar for a classic Italian aperitif with a tasting of a white and a red wine.

This tour meets outside Flaminio metro station (Line A) next to the flowerstand.

Euro 50,00 per person

Other information:
The tour price will be paid in cash to the tour guide in the beginning of the tour. The tour price includes all the tastings. After the guided walk of two hours we will pass the last hour of this tour in a characteristic wine bar enjoying an Italian aperitif and tast wines.
You can book by giving us your credit card details as a guarantee but the amount stated on the reservation will be paid in cash only to the tour guide.
Cancellation policy: No penalty for cancellations made up to 48 hours in advance. After this term the full amount of the reservation will be charged on the credit card. Your credit card will only be charged if you do not honour your booking.
