Itinerary

Crossing the Porta Pinciana, the Aurelian Wall, and the Villa Borghese, we arrive at the Vatican Museums. Among the myriad attractions of the Museums are the Hall of the Greek Cross, the Gallery of Statues, the Tapestry Gallery, and the beautiful antique maps in the Gallery of Maps. The Raphael Rooms, entirely frescoed by the Master, serve as a precursor to the Sistine Chapel, where Popes are elected. Michelangelo's Last Judgment and Creation of the World have been recently restored, and are now displayed in their original luminous splendor.

Daily in the morning (except for Sundays and Catholic holidays). Departs from the Vastours Terminal at 8:30am; free pick-up at hotels from 7:45-8:15am.

Note

There is a dress code for this tour: knees and shoulders must be covered and men must wear full-length trousers. During high season, it is possible that there may be lines at the museum. This tour is offered with the Churches of Rome & Catacombs tour as a combination tour.
