Best of Rome in a day - Walking Tour of the Colosseum, Ancient Forum, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona

Explore the top places to visit in Rome. Our Eternal City sightseeing tour takes you to the must-see destinations: the Colosseum, Ancient Forum, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

And you can skip the line with our Priority Access – allowing you more time to enjoy Rome.

  1. The picturesque sightseeing tour begins with a visit to the most impressive monument of Ancient Rome - the Colosseum. Originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, it remains the largest amphitheater in the world. A symbol of the Eternal City, the Colosseum inspires and awes, affirming the greatness and splendor of Ancient Rome.
  2. The next stop is the Roman Forum, a valley which rests between the Palatine Hill and Capitoline Hill. The Forum signified the political, religious and commercial center of the city and it is here, lying between glorious temples and arches that Julius Caesar’s body lays in an altar which can still be visited today. A must-see in Rome.
  3. We leave the ancient world and continue to Piazza Venezia, where you will admire the Altare della Patria – one of the most amazing monuments and sights to visit in Rome.
  4. Your Rome itinerary would not be complete without a visit to the Trevi Fountain. The largest and most famous fountain in Rome, the recently restored Trevi Fountain is brighter and more beautiful than ever before.
  5. Our walking tour continues through the characteristically narrow Roman streets to the square of Santa Maria della Rotonda, home of the Pantheon – whose famous perforated dome still remains the largest and most significant one ever built.
  6. The best of Rome sightseeing tour concludes with a visit to Piazza Navona- a square made famous by its three fountains by Bernini and extremely interesting anecdotes, which our guides will enthusiastically share with you.

Danke nochmals, Manuela!)

A recommander
A faire

Amazing tour
We had an almost "private" tour with Serena because we were only 8 people attending. The guide was truly amazing and she had a huge knowledge of history, art and anecdotes of Rome during ancient ages. Of course I would repeat with her as my guide !

Enjoy Rome walking tours- a fantastic experience
I recently went to Rome for a few days on my own and as i didn't know the area and had a limited time to see the city i wanted something that would help me cover the main tourist sights of Rome in a short time. I ended up going on 3 tours with "Enjoy Rome Tours". I decided to incorporate 2 of the tours into a full day walking tour of Rome. First i met the group at the office near the Vatican for a 3 hour tour of the Vatican museum's and Sistine Chapel then were left at St Peter's basilica so we could spend as much time there as we liked. My tour guide Jeanette, an art history student was very knowledgeable about the Vatican and the wonderful art inside it. She was very funny and had lots of interesting facts to spice up our tour. I was definitely happy i did the tour as i think i'd have missed a lot if i had gone on my own. Not to mention that we got to skip the absolutely colossal line to get into the Vatican. When you see the size of that line you'll want to be on a tour and able to skip it. After that tour i had a 2 hour break before starting on my "Ancient & Old Rome walking tour". What a fantastic experience!!! We met up with the group in Piazza Navona before visiting the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum and finishing the tour at the Colosseum (where we also got to skip the line). My guide this day was Valentina. An archeologist who really knew her stuff and gave us a very good background on everything we were looking at but who also had a great sense of humour and made the tour a really great experience. Then i did the "Pompeii Shuttle" which was a great experience and i definitely recommend to go see Pompeii. The shuttle left at 7.30 in the morning from the Enjoy Rome office near Termini station and arrived back at about 6 or 7pm. It took about 2hrs 45mins to get to Pompeii, then we were given 4 and a half hours to tour Pompeii at our own leisure before boarding the bus back. The guide with us on the bus was an archeologist, so was very handy for answering any questions we had. For anyone planning to visit Rome, i highly recommend these tours as a wonderful way to experience such a magnificent city at a very affordable price

Excellent colosseum and forum tour
Felix was a fantastic guide and his tour was really enjoyable. Our small group first walked around the colosso for 45mins while Felix filled us in on the history, architecture and entertainment features. He also ensured to find us the best photo spots and free time. We then continued on to the forum which was an excellent walk and we asked plenty of questions. Felix then took us for an interesting walk through Rome's busy streets where we stopped by the pantheon, a temple dedicated to Hadrian and many well known piazas. Altogether a fantastic time !

Well Reccomended
We went on the 3-hour Ancient Rome Half-Day Walking Tour. Well recommend. We met outside the colosseum at a clearly defined location, and skipped the massive queues on entering the colosseum itself. The guide then showed us around whilst explaining the history and key points before we left and walked on via the Roman Forum, Wedding Cake, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain to the Piazza Navona (where as a bonus was holding a Christmas Market)

Very enjoyable and informative..
Our guide was very helpful and imparted a lot of interesting inforamtion and good anecdotes. We felt we learned a lot. Out guide also gave us some suggestions of where to visit and what to eat in modern day Rome. We had good success with this tour company. We took three tours and two including this one were really worthwhile

A knowledgeable friendly guide!
A great walk through Rome with a couple of short stops for a bit of free time. Opportunity to visit inside the Panthenon plus another beautiful church. The fountains were lovely to see. The outdoor archaeological feast was all well explained. Felix was a great guide and it was great to only have one other very pleasant couple with us so there was no hanging around. A good way to start our trip to Rome
