Rome, After many years, the famous archaelogical site of the Republican Age
reopens to the public. The sepulchre has been closed since the 1992 and during the last three years the
cultural site has been reinforced.
The reopening is celebrated with 2 days of guided tours, completely
free, inside the archaelogical site.
So it will be possible to visit the monument, realized in the tuff
of the same hill, and pass through its almost squared perimeter, admiring the other structures of the 3rd
century Before Christ until the Middle Ages.
From January 2012, The Scipioni's Sepulchre will be open to
the public with guided tours every Saturday from 9.30 to 12.30 (groups of a maximum of 12 people).
After
the works maintenance the area presents a new visit route (included an accessible one), with an information
service and some didactic panels to explain the archaelogical excavations of the area.

Sepulchre Location:
This ancient sepulchre is situated along the Old Appian Way, inside the Aureliane
Walls, before the Porta S.Sebastiano.
