Borghese Gallery
This wonderfully intimate collection contains some of the most important Renaissance and Baroque paintings in the world, including works by Raphael, Titian, and Caravaggio but the real crowdpleasers at the Borghese are the sculptures by Bernini and Canova, who tested the limits of marble in unbelievable ways. Piazzale Museo Borghese (eastern end of Villa Borghese), Open Tuesday - Sunday 9am-7.30pm (entry by reservation only at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm. It is advisable to book at least a few days in advance. Euro 8,50 including booking fee (Euro 13,50 in case of exhibition). Bus 116 or 910 to Via Pinciana.
